Confirm Eligibility

Before requesting a checkride, applicants and instructors must ensure that all eligibility requirements are fully met.

A pre-check checklist will be provided in advance to help verify that documentation, endorsements, and training records are complete and accurate.

Scheduling a checkride indicates that both the applicant and instructor have reviewed these items and are confident in the applicant’s eligibility and readiness.

Eligibility Review Checklist

Before scheduling, please confirm the following:

All required pilot and medical certificates are valid and available
IACRA application is completed correctly (if applicable)
All required instructor endorsements are complete and appropriate
Logbook entries clearly support eligibility and experience requirements
Aeronautical experience requirements are fully met
Knowledge test results are available (if required)
Government-issued photo identification is available
Applicant is prepared to perform at the required standard

Pre-Scheduling Process

A checklist may be provided prior to scheduling to assist with eligibility verification.

Applicants are expected to review all materials with their instructor before requesting an appointment. Any questions or uncertainties should be resolved in advance.

Final eligibility will be determined during the official pre-test review on the day of the checkride.

Important Notice

The practical test cannot proceed if required documentation, endorsements, or eligibility criteria are incomplete or incorrect.

Missing or incorrect documentation

Logbook discrepancies or unclear records
Failure to meet FAA eligibility requirements
Insufficient preparation or inability to demonstrate proficiency

A checklist is provided in advance to help prevent these situations. However, if deficiencies are identified at the time of the test, the checkride may be delayed, discontinued, or rescheduled.

Applicants should not rely on the day of the checkride to correct missing or incomplete items.
